Frequently Asked Questions

  • Microblading is the semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique that applies pigment into the skin to create the most natural 3D hair-like strokes possible, creating fine hair-like strokes that match the color and shape of real eyebrow hair. Powder and Ombre brows is also a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique that applies pigment into the skin to create soft pixelated micro-dots to achieve a fuller “makeup” look. All mimicking the shape and growth pattern of your natural brow hair, whether you have any natural hair or none at all.

  • Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique that applies pigment into the lip skin. It enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. This treatment delivers very natural results, once healed.

  • A topical numbing cream will be applied prior to treatment and will reapply numbing cream halfway through the procedure to ensure comfort. Pain tolerance is relative to how well your skin takes to the numbing cream. If you do feel anything, it will most likely feel as if you were having your eyebrows tweezed or it may feel like a scratch.

  • No, the artist will design your brows using your existing brow hair.

  • Preparing for your appointment is just as important for good healed results as post care. Failure to follow pre-care may result in you being sent home the day of your appointment, so please read the following carefully! You coming prepared to your appointment means better healed results and a better overall experience.

WAXING: If you prefer to have them cleaned up beforehand, please do so at least 7 days before your appointment. Not required.

If you tint your brows, please do so at least 7 days prior. This can be helpful to match the color that we use to create your brows.

RETIN-A: Please refrain from using any retin-a products in the brow area for 2 weeks leading up to your appointment.

24 HOURS BEFORE: To minimize bleeding during the procedure, please avoid any alcohol and excessive caffeine.

    DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Recommended to wash your hair! You won’t be able to get your brows wet for the next 14 days, so to help make healing the most successful washing your hair beforehand to give yourself a few extra days before your next wash!

Avoid exercise. If you love exercising, get that gym time in before your appointment! Exercising increases blood flow and may leading to poor healed results.

Wearing Makeup: You are welcome to come to your appointment with or without makeup on however you are most comfortable. We will be taking lots of photos. If you regularly fill in your brows, coming with at least your brows filled in could help me see your day to day look and brow shape.

Bring your brow, lip, or eyeliner makeup. If you have a specific product you love, bring it along!

Relax! Feeling nervous or anxious is completely normal. We are going to work together to design and create your dream brows, lips, and liner!

  • The healing process is 14 days. In those 14 days following your appointment, you will be given specific aftercare instructions and asked to follow them strictly. If you have other questions regarding aftercare, please contact us.

  • A follow up appointment is recommended for Cosmetic tattooing two reasons:

    · To make any necessary adjustments (fullness, shading/darken color, retouch strokes that may have faded more than others)

    · To ensure that you are 100% satisfied with your results and in love with your brows after the initial healing process

The follow up (also called retouch) appointment is highly recommended. It is performed 4-8 weeks after your first microblading session and is included in the price. For Lip Blushing it is performed 8-10 weeks after your first appointment and is included in the price.

There is no charge for the follow up appointment as long as it is performed within the 4-8 weeks after your first session of microblading, and 8-10 weeks after your first session of Lip Blushing.

For tattooing there isn’t a recommended follow up appointment, but is dependent on each individual client.
